F2000 damping is a kind of high viscoelastic damping materials. Under a certain stress state, it has the characteristic of energy consumption as viscous fluid and energy storage as elastic solid material at the same time, It performs excellently in vibration insulation as it is non-toxic, non-flammable, safe and reliable because it does not contain soluble agent and has the property of heat insulation.

Product Properties

Most water-based damping paint is just used on metal materials. While the developed F2000 can be spaying on nonmetal material without delaminating, cracking, coming off or flowing when it is wet by 3mm as it has been more flexible and adhesive through formula improvement.

Damping Features

When damping materials contact with vibrating objects, it will absorb vibration energy in a certain degree. In this way, it makes the vibration into heat energy which results in making impact on vibration. Impact from damping depends on time delayed by deformation from force of vibration. And because of this hysteresis, the recycle of tensile reaction produce internal consumption due to the need of overcoming internal friction.

Under the effect of sound wave, the F2000 will also play its damping performance causing the loss of sound energy, namely sound absorbing effect

When sheet materials like plywood, hard board, gypsum board, asbestos cement are fixed onto a frame, together with closed air layer behind, they will be formed into resonating system. If there's any motivated source, resonating phenomenon is bound to happen. In this system, resonance frequency is effected by proportion and tension of unit plank, and the air layer behind them. But in engineering practice,  it's really different to control the tension because it will be reduced as time goes by. Especially for nonmetal materials which are much less ductile than that of metal ones, they will be damaged permanently, shortening their life of usage. In this case, F2000 can absorb mechanical vibration energy and reduce the amplitude significantly when it is fully attached and deformed together with planks.

F2000 is usually 1.5 to 2 times as thick as the substrate, related to amount, size and thickness of their materials used. The F2000 weight needed w(Unit:kg)is calculated as: W=density×coating area×(substrate thickness×substrate thickness factor-1)In the formula, density units g/m³, F2000 density 1.2g/cm³, coating area unit ㎡, substrate thickness of units of mm, the final calculated in kg.
